Journal Entry Thursday, August 20, 2026

I went to the mall with my boys yesterday and bought this shirt because I thought it was funny.

It wasn’t until I got home that I realized the cashier left the security tag on the shirt.

I left the store with said tag still on the shirt, and no alarms went off at the opening. I can’t say door because mall stores mainly have openings, right?

This has happened to me more times than you would think: once at another store in the mall and again at a department clothing store that is usually a stand-alone store and not inside a mall.

These things don’t work, obviously. They should stop being used.

We also had a long discussion about Weird Al Yankovic and how he looks the same. Well, I had a discussion about how he looks the same. My youngest had a discussion about how he is in the My Singing Monsters game.

He does look the same, though. My middle son thinks he dyes his hair. Dan thinks it’s plastic surgery. I think he’s a cyborg.

That is all for me today. Have a good Thursday, everyone.
