It’s been awhile so this might be a long post.
My last blog post was on September 23 and it’s been an awful eleven days. On September 28, my little dog Zoey crossed the rainbow bridge after being part of out lives for 19 years.
I did not take it well.
She was the best little dog. I’m still very sad, but it’s not as deep as it was, I’m feeling a little better now that we have her ashes and she is back at home with her family.
On the 25th I started to feel a little cold starting. That was a Friday, by Monday I felt like someone was sitting on my chest. I felt terrible but no fever, not until Thursday when all of a sudden it was 102 degrees.
Friday morning I took a COVID/Flu test because I was achy all over and my throat felt swollen. I was positive I had the flu. It was negative.
I went to the doctor and she was 100% sure I had strep, but that test was also negative.
She said I most likely had a ‘mystery’ bacterial virus that was going around. Doctors have been treating it with antibiotics and it has been working so, that is what she gave me for treatment.
The last time I was treated for a ‘mystery’ virus was December of 2018. I don’t need to explain what happened to the world after that diagnosis. I am hoping for history not repeating itself this time.
I am feeling much better today, the antibiotics are working.
Hopefully, now life will return to something resembling what I used to think was ‘normal.’ I think though that nothing will ever feel ‘normal,’ again.
That is all for me today. Have a good Sunday.
