I now have one working day until my staycation.

I still haven’t made any solid plans.

At this point I’m not going to, I’m just going to wing it, sleep in late and read books.

My workplace has recently started shifting things over to a more ‘modern,’ system. I don’t really know what they mean by that but one thing I do know is now instead of it being save to a single company only server, it is saved to another server with several other companies also. They call it the cloud.

Ok, so this was supposed to make systems easier to use, and more streamlined and all of those things the salesman told them to con them in to buying their software.

Here is what it really does:

We have letters that we send for certain things and each day we have to send several letters. The old way we clicked a link for the letter we needed to send and from there is was fill in the blank click send letter is sent.

For the most part the new way is the same. Instead of filling in blanks we have drop down menus. You just pick what you need in the drop down and there are some fill in the blanks because some of the things are amounts and each letter is a different amount.

However, there are some letters that for whatever reason, even though they are the same as other letters just a word or two different, did not transfer over to the new system. So, now, we have to go to the procedure manual, open the blank letter, click on the link in the procedure manual to open a word document, then copy and paste the letter to the text box in the new system. Then, delete the space fillers and put in the correct information.
