I am on the mend.
I have an infection in both my ears and fluid in my lungs.
While I was getting checked out by the Nurse Practitioner, I was chatting with her, she said there was a bump in flu cases this summer. I’m glad I don’t have the flu.
I thought it was going to be strep. My throat and my neck were hurting. I had strep more than once, and each time my throat and neck hurt.
Dan thought it was West Nile Virus. Someone in a neighboring town recently contracted West Nile Virus. I’m glad it’s not that either.
Not this week, but next week, I will be back to my horror story. Right now, we are just going to talk about my normal, boring life.
I have finished so many books. My bookshelf is just about full.
My top ten not in any order are:
The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas
The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver
Night of the Mannequins, Mongrels, and The Only Good Indians, Stephen Graham Jones.
The God of Endings, Jaqueline Holland
The Hunger, Alma Katsu
Where He Can’t Find You, and How Bad Things Can Get, by Darcy Coates.
I am going to add one more, House of Leaves, Mark Z Danielewski.
There are so many I have read that are good, those are just ones I would recommend or give away for someone else to read.
Now I am reading East of Eden, John Steinbeck. I put down Moby Dick to read it because I couldn’t focus on Moby Dick. I will go back because I really do want to read Moby Dick.
Ok, well, I am done. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday.
