I am up very early this Saturday morning.

Today I want to clean, get out of the house, read, and write.

I’m going to work on my writing after this and wait until about 10 or 11 to clean, because that’s when everyone should be awake and can help. That way, I don’t have to do everything myself.

I posted a story earlier this week that didn’t get much traction, but I think it was because I wrote it from a prompt. Usually, things that I fully make up get more views, which makes sense. It was hard to write from a prompt.

I think now, I am going to work harder at getting published. Not with the story I posted, but with one I have been writing for about four months. I hold on to that one until it fails getting published, then I will post.

I live in reality, I know that my first attempts are not going to get published, become best sellers, and turn into the next blockbuster movie.

I’ve been around long enough to know that doesn’t happen.

I would, however, like to start making money for some of the things I write. It would be a good little side hustle.

Ok, there are not enough links in this blog post, so here is another one. My 13th most-viewed post of 2025 was a response to yet another daily prompt asking what was the best mode of transportation for a cross-country trip. At the time, I was traveling in a car to Kansas to meet my new grandbaby. It had 31 views and 25 likes.
