We finished decorating the tree yesterday.

I made it look like the Christmas lights were strangling my dressmaker’s mannequin, but you can’t tell from the street.

I actually had it behind the tree before we decorated it, and had it looking out at the street. My ex-husband, when he came to get the boys, looked at it and said, ‘Hi (oldest son’s name).’ Then realized it wasn’t him and tried to play it off, but I saw it happen.

Anyway, I am trying to think of a way to illuminate it so you can see it from the street. I’ll figure something out.

Also, yesterday I volunteered to take on more work. It was during a meeting where they let us know people were moving to another supervisor in the same area, and that other people were moving to a new business strategy they were creating, which I absolutely did not understand at all.

In addition to our huddle meetings, they also have meetings where they tell us about promotions and new business strategies. They tell us when people are moving to other areas, and they held a meeting when a guy left.

I don’t know why he left, but they gathered us all together to let us know he no longer worked there.

After all of the meetings, they then ask, ‘What can we do to stay in time service?’

Some advice: don’t answer this question honestly. I did once, I said, ‘Have fewer meetings?’ and you’d think I was the iceberg that sank the Titanic and also made baby Jesus cry.

Ok, now for my 11th most-viewed post of 2025: it was another daily prompt, and honestly, I think it was about this time I was getting burnt out on them. I also don’t need a prompt to write daily, I obviously have a lot to say.

The question was ‘What was the best compliment you’ve received?’ and my response, titled ‘I don’t really have an answer to this one,’ received 32 views and 26 likes.

Ok, well that is all for me today. Everyone, enjoy your Thursday.
