Last night I was possessed by a demon.

I started breathing fire like a dragon.

I walked down the street in my neighborhood, catching grass on fire. I decided mailboxes were my enemies, and cars parked on my street needed a reckoning.

Every mailbox I came to, I pulled out of the ground and used it like a hammer to smash all the cars parked on the street.

That wasn’t enough though.

I touched all the trees and set them on fire. I howled with laughter while I watched them burn.

I danced on roofs and delighted in the screams of the humans inside. Some came outside and saw me and screamed and ran. I chased them down the street. My demon self had the perfect evil laugh.

RAH, HA, HA, HA!

I set wooden fences on fire. I pulled the chain link out of the ground and tied it in knots. I came to a plastic fence and stomped it flat like a plastic bottle.

Then, suddenly, I was me again. I looked around and said,

“APRIL FOOLS.”
