We left around 2 a.m. and are now in our Kansas hotel room.

I’m glad the drive is over.

Now we can have a nap before the birthday party at 3 p.m.

I sent my manuscript to two other publishers to see if they will also accept it for publication and to see if they will also request an upfront payment.

I really have no idea how any of this works because I’ve never done this before and I don’t know anyone who has, so it’s just little old me.

We will see what happens.
