It is still cold here y’all.

My phone says it is 15 degrees right now. Yesterday about noon when it was 24 degrees my middle son and I went for a walk. No one else wanted to go, they said it was too cold. It wasn’t really that bad as long as the wind wasn’t blowing directly in our faces. We went to the park by us and there were pine needles frozen to the sidewalk under a layer of ice.

I took a picture, but it didn’t really come out like I wanted because they looked really cool.

It was like that all over the sidewalk.

After that we all got back under our blankets and stayed warm. It was a lazy day.

I finished by book, Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier and I have some short story anthologies to read now. Just an Ordinary Day by Shirley Jackson I am a little way through that one. The Birds and Other Stories by Daphne Du Maurier, Rear Window and Other Murderous Tales by George Hopley-Woolrich and The Best American Noir of the Century by James Ellroy and Otto Peltzer.

So I have the last days of the apocalypse here in Texas covered.

I don’t know if there will be another walk today because it is colder than yesterday.

That is all for me today. Everyone enjoy your Sunday.
