My dog Bentley is usually the only dog that lays between my side of the bed and my art desk, today Zoey was there also.

It takes a major feat of acrobatics to get around Bentley every morning, but today with Zoey also there I feel like I should have received a gold medal.

It is also important to note that they have two dog beds, and this is where they sleep.

My shoes I always wear around the house were also under or pushed aside by one of them so I had to get a different pair.

My sister gives gift cards for Christmas and yesterday I took the boys to Walmart to use them. My mom said she wanted yarn that was pretty so I got her pink, my oldest picked out a purple variegated color, the middle picked out a bluish tan variegated, and the youngest picked the same as the oldest.

My oldest son used his on some sodas and snacks. The middle had already used his and the youngest used his on something at the mall and yesterday some snacks.

I was going to use mine on books but there was this cheap art set that had all kinds of art supplies like oil pastels and chalk. I have never used those before so I thought I would buy it just to test those things out since the whole thing was like $30 and I could use and abuse them and not feel guilty. I made two ladies one with oil pastels and one with chalk.

I have decided that I am not an artist that makes realistic looking pictures. I am more of a cartoony type artist. I like the odd shapes of the eyes and faces. Like eyes being too big and lips too fat. I feel like it is better when it’s not perfect.

While I was making my pictures I alerted to the sound of water running. I got up to see what was going on and my oldest had given himself a haircut. He looked like a mangy dog. So out came the clippers and now he has no hair. I think he likes it better that way, I don’t think he likes having hair. Dan thinks he doesn’t like it touching his ears and that may be true, he can’t tell us in any other way than giving himself a haircut so we will shave all of it off.
