I forgot to do this yesterday so I am posting two today. This one was viewed 38 times and had 2 likes. It was my fourth highest viewed post of the year.
I am generally more interested in the views than I am the likes, if you regularly like my blog posts please continue but me I am one of those people that will read something and move on and forget to hit the like button. Also 38 views means at least 12 people read it so I’m happy with that.
This is my 5th highest viewed post with 37 views and 16 likes. This was when I was still writing one post every Sunday from 2024 and 2025. That got to be very tiring so I decided shortly after I started doing this to just update once a day.
I still don’t have my Kindle Scribe. After work today I am going to see if I can get some kind of answer from Amazon as to why. Because it is in Fort Worth and it does not take eight days to get from Fort Worth to Hurst. Not even if you are walking. I know this because this homeless guy I ran in to in the Hurst community park once was telling me he was going to walk to Fort Worth, I offered to drive him but he wouldn’t accept the ride. Anyway I asked him how long it takes and he said about two hours maybe three depending on where he was going and how often he stopped to rest.
Yes, I talk to homeless people.
I was also thinking maybe I should get Amazon a map, like a paper map. Then I thought ‘where would I even get one?’ About six years ago I went looking for a paper map and couldn’t find one anywhere. I finally found some Mapsco’s at Barnes and Noble, they were behind the register and they were about $60 to $90 dollars. The cashier told me they had to keep them there because people would come in and just take them. They thought since you can look up just about any address on your phone to get you places that maps and Mapsco’s in stores were free, isn’t that crazy?
Look at that they have them at Walmart. I did go there but when I asked someone, he pulled up his GPS on his phone and told me I didn’t need a map because they have GPS on phones. Yea it was a rude interaction but Walmart didn’t get my money that day so that’s on him.
