Hello friends. Happy Thanksgiving.

A co-worker greeted me that way once years ago when I worked at Walmart. He always greeted me that way ‘hello friend.’ This one time though a woman who was a customer made it uncomfortable.

He came to get me to go to break together and he said, ‘hello friend,’ the lady over heard him and she said, ‘what a wonderful greeting. You know you are special because he came up to you and said hello friend, you are not just another person, you are a friend, he really cares about you. I hope you are grateful for him.’

I didn’t know what to say, because he was indeed a friend and I felt like this lady was insinuating that we were more than that no just with what she said but how she said it, so I was just like ‘yeah (his name here,) is a good friend.

She kept going after that, more stuff about friends and how valuable they are and I just wanted her to go away at that point so I started walking away with my friend and she was following us, and she was still talking. We get to the breakroom and she’s gone finally and I tell him, ‘I think she was sweet on you.’

We both laughed.

Anyway, a lot of things happened yesterday. My middle son and I had plans to go to Walmart after we both got off work. So I’m off work and I take a little nap and when I wake up there is a text from my son he is going out to eat with a co-worker. Ok so I wait a little while and text him to see if he’s on his way home, he doesn’t text back so I head off to Walmart alone.

As soon as I get there he finally texts back, ‘oh,’ so I call him.

‘Hello,’ he answers.

‘Are you at home?’ I ask.

‘No,’ he says ‘I’m at Walmart.’

‘I am too,’ I say. ‘Are you at the one on Precinct Line Road?’

‘Yea,’ he said.

Then I ask ‘where are you?’ I look up and he turns around and we were both in the produce area like ten feet from each other.

So we do our shopping, and he mentions that he needs to answer his dad’s (my ex-husband,) text. He answers him then says, ‘dad is at Walmart too.’

‘This Walmart?’ I ask.

‘Yeah,’ he says.

So then we bump in to his dad who is with my youngest son. My oldest and youngest are there right now for the Thanksgiving holiday.

What are the odds. We were all at that Walmart at the same time. Really though because there is a Walmart closer to his house and one of those small Walmart grocery stores that’s close as well. It was funny.

Ok well that is enough out of me. Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
