I am on a horror novel streak right now.
Yesterday I went to Barnes and Noble looking for either an anthology of William Hope Hodgson short stories or an anthology of his Carnacki stories but they didn’t have any, it was all print on demand. That’s fine I decided to just browse the horror section after that because I wanted some books.
I looked around for a good little while, I didn’t want to fall in to the Dean Koontz or Stephen King rabbit hole. I wanted books that were written by authors that weren’t so immensely popular as those two and I found three books that so far have not disappointed.
I started with Stephen Graham Jones it is two books in one, The Babysitter Lives and Killer on the Road.
I’m already done with The Babysitter Lives. It was very good, and very creepy.

I am well in to Killer on the Road and it is very good also, scary because you don’t know who the killer is from one page to the next.
After that I have Dead of Winter by Darcy Coates because it is about strangers stranded in a cabin in, well, the dead of winter, and one of them is a killer.

I love horror movies and horror novels. I am NOT a romance or fantasy girl. I also love mysteries and thrillers. My favorite mystery author though is now and always will be Agatha Christie.
Ok well I guess I am done, everyone enjoy your Sunday.
