It is Friday, and I am so glad it is Friday.

I am off on Monday for Labor Day, then I am off next Friday for my birthday. I have two three day weekends in a row and it is wonderful.

Last night I finished one half of the hoodie for my picture. Tonight I will finish the other half.

Ok spoiler alert here because I am going to talk about Ruby Red Handed: Stealing Americas Most Famous Shoes.

My mom and I watched this last night. Judy Garland was from Grand Rapids Minneapolis, so in that city there is a museum in her old family home dedicated to her and there is a Judy Garland festival every year.

In 2005 an owner of a pair of Garland’s ruby slippers she wore in The Wizard of Oz loaned them to the museum. They were stolen.

There was a years long investigation, the shoes were eventually found and the thieves were caught. Then this summer they were returned to the original owner.

The original owner decided since he was getting older it was time to sell the shoes so the shoes went to auction where they sold for,

25 MILLION DOLLARS!

TWENTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS!

Isn’t that crazy? I told my mom we should have stole them shoes. We wouldn’t have been able to do anything with them though so I guess it wouldn’t have been a good idea.
