I have a great big ol’ sinus infection.

Doctor said all the stuff that was happening to me probably contributed to the pain and pressure in my face now and that caused the sinus infection. Now I have to take a huge horse pill antibiotic.

It was kind of hell getting to that appointment too, it was a virtual appointment.

Ok so here is what happened. I left work early because at my lunch break I made a virtual appointment for 3 p.m.

I start logging in at 2:45, by clicking the link in the email they sent for the appointment. It of course directs me to the log-in page. So, I log in, go to the next screen and tell them to send me a text with a code.

They text the code, I type in the code, it says the code is expired. What?

So I close out, go back to the email for the appointment, click the link, log-in with my email and password, now it says ‘wrong email or password combination.’

What? What is happening.

OK take a deep breath. I close all the way out of the internets again. I go back but this time instead of clicking the link from the email I go straight to the website, it is now 2:50, I log in with email, I get to the screen where it asks me if it can text me a code, I say ok, this time it accepts the code but prompts me to log in again. I log in again, it says ‘wrong email or password combination.’

Well, I know the email is right because they were sending me emails and the password I was using worked when I made the appointment, but now it’s 2:58 and my appointment is at 3, so I call the number at the top of the page of the website because maybe there are technical issues?

The number they provided have nothing to do with anything tech so I send a message through this chat with us button that does not chat but sends an email and now it’s 3:15. The email I sent, ‘I have a doctor’s appointment right now and I can’t get logged in.’

So now I have to wait for someone to email me back? Ok no, I go back and decide to change my password. I go to the log in page and click forgot password and enter my email. The instructions say to click the link in the email to reset my password. I get the email, no link, it says they don’t change passwords through email any more you have to use the magic link.

I’m like isn’t the magic link in this email? There’s no magic link in this email.

Ok lets close it out and try to sign in again, and again it won’t take my email or password. So, I see in the corner a button that says ‘use magic link.’ I click the button to use the ‘magic link,’ and it prompts me to put in my email.

At this point, I am almost to tears. It is now 3:30 p.m. and I have missed my appointment. However, I am still sick as a dog so I need to see a doctor.

I get to my email for the ‘magic link,’ and there is an answer to my chat message that was actually email and they are explaining to me how to reset my password. Sigh, ok so I go to the email with the ‘magic link,’ which gives me a code, I’m back at the website I put in the code and I’m in, there is no appointment booked at all for me on the website.

I go back to the email that had the tech support and say, ‘I’m finally in, but there is no record of an appointment being booked at all?’

I never get an answer to this email, I just book another appointment for 6:30 p.m.

So when that time comes, I log in at 5:50 and just leave the page open until 6:20 and then I sit in the virtual waiting room for 10 minutes. Oh, and by the way, my email and password worked.

While I’m waiting there is no one in my living room, I am all alone in the living room for 30 minutes. The doctor comes on, EVERYONE in the house suddenly decides they all have life or death situations that need to be handled by me, I ignore them, they don’t understand the pain and anguish I went through to get to this point in my healthcare journey.

So obviously there were some technical issues happening for my first appointment.

Any way, I’m on the mend now, and that’s all I have. Everyone have a good Friday.
