I have got to stop looking at Facebook.

I see these terribly written articles and comment on them, and six months later I am still getting responses to my comments. I never reply because why would I? What’s the purpose? I’ve said what I wanted to say.

Sometimes there is so much anger behind people responding to me also, it’s so strange that someone could get so mad over such a benign thing.

What kills me now are the AI generated photos of celebrities pulling children from the flood waters in central Texas and the people falling for that nonsense.

I’m sure that all the celebrities involved are good people but folks, they weren’t there.

It kills me because now the people who really are doing things to help are being overshadowed by lies. My local news station has shown children who have started lemonade stands and donated the money they made to the relief efforts.

The citizens of the affected area are coming out to help also because they want to help their community. They are going to the hardest hit areas and either helping search or helping clean up.

Why can’t there be more attention on that?

I know that I won’t change things by just not looking at Facebook, but I can say this; buy a newspaper, watch a news channel or local news.

Stop getting your news off of Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.

I think I’m done. Everyone have a wonderful day.
