I think this year may be the first year since my sons were babies that I haven’t watched fireworks.

I just wasn’t feeling it, the crowds, the noise, the smelly drunk people.

It just didn’t sound like fun.

Instead, I cleaned deep cleaned. I moved the furniture in the living room and swept and mopped under all of it, I cleaned the stove top and wiped down all the kitchen cabinets.

I cleaned out my fridge and pantry. I even cleaned under my bed.

It took almost all day and I was worn out when I was done.

I have three more days off, so today is just a sit and chill day. I am just going to sit and chill.

I am going to shred the rest of my 2024 journal today and make another picture out of the shredded pages.

The one I have pictured here is one that I was working on but I couldn’t figure out what to do with it next, except I think now I have. I’m going to add some white to it, clouds and flowers and then I think I’ll be done.
