My son has a school project, he has to make something and record himself making it, and give the instructions is Spanish.

I’m like, ugh, come on.

It’s not the project that bugs me, it’s the video. When I was in school we did the same thing but it had to be a Spanish dish and we cooked it and brought it to class and wrote down the instructions to give the teacher.

Why can’t he just do that? Why be extra teacher? On top of that, what if there is a kid that doesn’t have access to this? Like maybe they don’t have all the features on their phone that other kids do because their parents have made it that way. Or, what if they don’t have a cell phone? Some kids don’t, but that’s the project so here we are.

Anyway he chose Key Lime Pie, and I bought the ingredients for a Key Lime Pie, but there’s another thing, what if some kids don’t have the monetary resources to buy extra food for a project? I can only buy enough for one pie so we are going to have several dry runs before we add the food to the video.

So, like I said, this project annoys me, it’s not the project itself it’s the nearsighted teacher who assigned the project.

That is my Saturday. Tonight I am going to clean because my robot vacuum has given up on life.
