I need to do dishes, I’m running out of coffee mugs.

The problem is, that’s all that’s dirty, also, I hate doing dishes. I think everyone hates doing dishes.

When I was a waitress there was one day when the dishwasher just up and quit, because he hated doing dishes. It took the owners a few days to hire a new dishwasher because no one they interviewed wanted to do the dishes.

We all took turns washing the dishes and I have to say, I can see why no one wanted to do the dishes. I was sweaty and soaking wet by the end of the day and the place went through dishes faster than I could wash them.

It also made me hate doing dishes even more.

It is raining here in Texas today, the good kind of rain, with thunder and lightening. The weather guy said it’s going to be like this all day.

One of our plumbing issues is solved. The broken tub drain is fixed. I haven’t used that tub yet so I don’t know if there will still be water in my middle son’s room, but my oldest comes back today and he always takes a bath as soon as he comes home so that will be my test.

When the plumber left yesterday he told us we could run water, but told us not to touch the drain for 24 hours because we could stick to it, my middle son wanted to touch it, I wouldn’t let him.

The conversation was like this, we were standing in the bathroom and both of us were looking down at the drain.

Middle son, “Why can’t we touch it?”

Me, “Because the glue he used, it has to set.”

Middle son, “But like how sticky is it? That makes me want to touch it to find out.”

Me, “I don’t know but we just got the drain fixed, I don’t want to have to break it again.”

As far as I know, no one has touched the drain.

I have also been testing out these gel pens I bought last year, it was a big package of 50 that I got from Pop Shelf. Every time I tried to use one I had to put it back because it didn’t write, so now I’m using a different one everyday and throwing away the ones that don’t work.

So far I have trashed three duds.
