The place where I work now was already using technology to complete all my job functions when I started there.
I do remember though working in a call center once, it was an outbound call center and this would have been ’95/’96, they gave you a list of numbers to call and you had to use this tan colored push button phone to dial the numbers and try to get people to sign up for health insurance.
Now I don’t know if that is how my current job functioned, but it is a call center for some positions and that is all done through the computer now. It is also inbound and I have no idea how that worked before.
