How are you doing?

Don’t ask ugh, this is one of those questions that everyone asks in greetings but they don’t expect an answer and they don’t want one.

They simply do not care how you are doing. They just think they are being polite.

Here is what I say, ‘I am glad you are here.’ So when I am at work and someone greets me I answer their non-question ‘How are you doing?’ With great and then I say, ‘I am glad you are here,’ or ‘It’s so good to see you.’

See the difference? Instead of asking a question that you don’t care to hear the answer to, you make the person feel wanted or valued.

Anyway, that is all for today. Everyone have fun today. I’m glad you are here.

That is on my top list. If you genuinely care that’s cool but if you’re saying it literally as you walking past me just say hi or good morning 🙂

  2. This question is also in the top of my list, I dislike insincere, in passing conversation.
