What were your parents doing at your age?

My dad was born in 1931 and my mom was born in 1944, they were 13 years apart in age. I am 48 now so in 1979 my dad was 48 and I was three years old.

At that time we were living in the Weatherby road house and I believe my dad was working as a mechanic. Also around that time he got a job working at this small little gas station and I remember one time I was there with him and I wanted a candy bar so I took a candy bar and started eating it, I got in so much trouble.

About five years ago my sister and I went to that little store.

My mom was 48 in 1992. At that time she would have been working at a place called Kimbro Clinic. It was in Cleburne. My mom was an X-Ray technician. She did that for about 30 years. She worked at Kimbro then went to Radiology Associates and that’s where she worked until she retired. I was 16 then and most likely wearing her out. I was a terrible teenager.

Dad died in 1997 but mom is still here, she is about to be 81. I love my parents and hope my mom lives for many more years. I’ll finish with some pictures I made of both of them.
