Write about your first computer.

They had stores, does anyone remember that? Also there was a cow involved somehow, like it was their mascot or something.

Anyway, that was my first computer. I had to get a loan to buy it, and then went to the Gateway store with my ex-husband and his brother and picked one out, this was all his idea but when we got to the store and he was looking around at all the stuff he stopped caring.

The monitor was the size of a small television, like the old televisions and it was heavy. It had the mid tower too, no computers have that now. We used it for years. We had AOL internet, the dial up kind and every time we connected it made that sound, anyone remember that sound?

I was the only one that used that computer. I got sucked into the chat rooms and would spend hours sometimes chatting with people. Then one night someone took my screen name and every time I sent a message one would pop up right after that with stuff I did not say. That freaked me out so I stopped using the chat rooms.

I don’t remember using it all that much after that until we got our next computer. That one was so much cheaper. It didn’t last as long though. Now I use a laptop or my phone. It amazes me how far we’ve come in technology.
