This week I had trouble coming up with a journal entry every day. I did though, every day. Some of these for 2025 are going to sound weird and stilted because I was attempting to come up with something to write. That is what daily writing is for to help with regular writing because after my morning junk journal entries I wrote more during the day at random times.
Here they are enjoy.

“You will be safe now,” Laura said. “You are in the light.” Surprisingly Julie’s eyes opened, she started breathing. She was looking around at everyone with wide eyes. Bryan was shocked and started joyfully crying. “Julie, Julie you’re alive, you’re alive.” They embraced each other and were both sobbing. The others were in shock as well they stared at the couple. “Did she just bring her back to life?” Red asked. Blue, Green, Purple and Sally looked at Red then started looking around for Laura. “Where did she go?” Sally asked. The group looked back at Bryan and Julie, they were smiling and talking. “I’ll go look,” Blue said. The rest of the women turned back to Julie and Bryan. Sally knelt down next to them and began examining them both.

Here we are up at 5 a.m. At least it’s Monday and I have to wake up anyway. I left work early on Friday so I will have to make sure there is nothing hanging over from last week. I had 10 cases left so probably not. Also, my robot vacuum is out again today to do its scheduled cleaning. I have it set for every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I think to myself every year that I’m going to get one that mops too, but I don’t I wonder if they are synced with each other. The vacuum gets stuck sometimes, then will the mop not mop? Or if it does, does it clean or make dirty wet splotches of dog hair appear everywhere? I can’t seem to find a review for that and if you ask the company they tell you they offer tech support, and most problems can be resolved with the app. So doesn’t really answer my question, I think my concern is valid.

Blue walked around the group and looked towards the tree line. Laura couldn’t have gone far in the small amount of time they were watching this miracle happen. Blue walked into Sally’s office Laura was there balled up in the corner shivering. “I’m sorry,” Laura said. “Don’t hurt me please, please, I’m sorry please.” Blue stayed where she was confused by this girl they had found. “I’m not going to hurt you,” she said, “what you just did, you brought someone back from the dead.” Laura stared at Blue still shaking she said, “don’t hurt me please, I didn’t mean to, please.” Blue moved closer to Laura crouched down and said, “I don’t want to hurt you, I don’t want to ever hurt you, I just want to ask you some questions.”

No snow or ice it’s just cold. My husband works on roads, and they can’t work when it’s cold, the asphalt won’t set in certain temperatures. So, he’s not able to do anything at a certain time of year. I’m sitting here with a stuffy nose and my throat feels weird. I cleaned yesterday and I was going to cook dinner too, but the dishes took too long to wash so we ordered Whataburger. I love that someone can go get your food for you but now I don’t leave the house much. I should probably get out more. When I am done training in my new role I will have to go all the way out to Richardson every Tuesday. That will be enough. All the snow is down south by the Gulf. Trump said yesterday he was going to change it to the Gulf of America. It will never stick. It’s always going to be the Gulf of Mexico. The Panama Canal is always going to be that also. It’s too much to change. That’s all I’m at the end of the page.

Blue sat with her legs crossed in front of Laura, far enough away that Blue wouldn’t scare her. She noticed Laura relaxing a little, she wasn’t shaking anymore but she was looking down at her hands that were grasping her knees. Blue shifted a little then asked, “Let’s start with your name, what’s your name?” “Laura,” Laura said quietly. “Laura,” Blue said “that’s a pretty name. Where did you come from? How did you get here?” “The dark, I don’t know,” Laura said. “The dark, that is the name of your world?” Blue asked. Laura shook her head. Blue sat for a minute confused, but she had to move on, she thought for a minute then asked, “How did you wake up Julie?” Laura shook her head and closed her eyes, “I don’t know. I just didn’t want her to be that way forever, so I asked to wake her up.”

There’s an Adam and Eve commercial out now where nosey Edna works at the grocery or drug store where you buy all your intimate sex stuff. I’m like why does it have to be nosey Edna? Gertrude sounds nosier than Edna. I think I made someone mad once because a few years ago there was an ad in The Dallas Observer for an S&M shop and it said, ‘Whip me beat me call me Edna.’ I’ve not seen anything else until this commercial though. I can hear Teams dinging already and I thought I was late for work but it’s only 6:20 a.m., I don’t start until seven. My boys come home from their dads today. I have no snacks. Everybody ate them. I’ll probably order pizza for dinner. Today should go by quickly no meetings. I don’t know if it will I just hope it will. I’m tired and I’ve got the I don’t wannas.

Blue gave Laura a blanket and asked her to stand, then helped her to a bed. She sat with her until she stopped shaking. Blue joined the others outside, Julie and Bryan were still embracing and crying. Green walked to Blue “what did the girl say?” she asked. Blue explained to Green what happened. “She doesn’t know she brought her back to life?” Green was surprised. Blue shook her head, no the pair drifted back to the group. Red was talking with Julie and Bryan and Sally was listening to their conversation. Blue and Green stood next to Purple. “Men who are bones,” Purple said. “Julie and Bryan said hundreds of men who are bones raided their house.” Red came over followed by Sally, “I don’t like this,” Red said. “Nothing feels right.”

Last night I woke up because I heard banging in my son’s room. His room is this little room on the other side of our laundry room. Unknown to me one of the dogs had peed on the floor in front of the laundry room door and since I didn’t see it, I slipped in it and fell. I banged my knee on the floor and now I have a bump and a bruise. It also kind of hurts when I bend it, probably because of the bruise. I want to throttle those dogs sometimes. Now it is time to wake up and work. I have it in me it’s just weird, I’m tired but I’m not I don’t know why. I am going to drink my coffee and smile. I guess I am restless or maybe even frustrated. I have so many things I want to get done creatively. I have a knit hat I’m making, a story I’m writing and a picture I’m creating. I have been keeping myself somewhat organized though so I think I can get them done.

The decision was made that Laura would stay with Doctor Sally and Bryan and Julie would go back to their house with the protectors who would help them clean their house. On the way they got a description from Julie and Bryan about what happened the night before. Bryan had been awakened by a noise he described as like a ‘cracking’ sound and went to the window but couldn’t see anything. Julie had also woken up but went to the front door and stepped outside. She saw bones in cloaks. One grabbed her by the throat and lifted her up in the air and when Bryan ran to help her, everything else in the house was pushed back, like a huge gust of wind had hit him. That was all they could remember.

My smart watch sends a notification to my phone when it’s fully charged. Only at home though. So, when I’m out and I don’t have my watch I never know if it’s charged. The one I have now is a google watch. I’ve had it for three or four years. T-Mobile keeps trying to get me to replace it with a new one but IDK why. This one works just fine. I’m also glad it’s Friday. I’m kind of sick of work this week. They want us to track our unplanned downtime, any time other than breaks we use throughout the day. So, every time we go to the bathroom outside of our break time. I am not ever going to track that so I’m fine. I don’t really get up much anyway unless I’m going on break or lunch. I love my job now, but I probably won’t when I have to go to the office once a week. I’m pretty sure I’ll hate that. The office is so far away. I have a new car, now I will be putting miles on it.

“There’s char marks around the door,” Red said turning to Purple. Purple laid both hands on the door frame, “I haven’t been able to see anything,” she said. “I just feel heat and hear screams, it’s very confusing. I don’t se bones.” Red peered inside the house where Blue and Green were helping Bryan and Julie clean. There were a lot of leaves and twigs. Most of the contents of the house had been pushed all the way Bryan and Julie had told them. It all was so surreal. The sun was starting to set when Red turned to Purple and said, “we need to go to the town,” Purple nodded in agreement.

I think I might buy a new art desk today. I’m going to have to go out and see what is available so I may not get a whole new desk, I probably will just get a rolling cart or small table because I like the tilting desk. The problem is the work I do involves little scraps of shredded paper and the part that I thought I was going to put on is bolted to the side, so it is in one line and a big reach. When I have the top tilted up I have to get up and walk around to the side to comfortably get to that part of the desk. I found one on Amazon that has a ledge that comes out but it looks narrow so I don’t think that will work for me either. A rolling cart would be cheaper anyway. I also need to cancel some subscriptions I’ve gathered up. I really need to stop the free trials. Whoever remembers to cancel them? I don’t, I’ll do that today. I can’t afford to keep giving money away.

The town was bordered on the east side by the protector’s homestead. On the west was the sparsely populated outlier’s area and in the middle was the tightly packed and largely overpopulated town. Despite that, the people who live there loved where they lived. For all of them it was the only life they knew. Generations of families lived in the same houses and had the same jobs they passed all of this down to their children. Everyone helped one another with growing food, raising animals for meat and making clothes. When the protectors came to town that evening everything was winding down. The shopkeepers waved to the protectors as they were putting their things away and closing their shops. No one seemed troubled or afraid. The Protectors decided to continue on to their houses and regroup. Then, just at the edge of town, someone flagged them down.
Sunday January 26, 2025
It is Sunday and today I am going to clean off my dresser in my room. There are things on there that I am just going to get rid of, just throw them away. It’s a catch all space where all my clutter goes and stays. After that I am going to use my art desk and finally add to the picture I’m making. I kind of go through down time when I am making something. I will start something then put it away then come back weeks or months later and finish. I may not work on it today either, but I will get my dresser cleaned off and dusted and wiped down. My room is where all my clutter goes actually. I take it in there and set it down and forget it then it just sits and collects dust. I will come in and clean up though. So, there’s not that much clutter. About once a year I throw things out or donate them. I don’t want to keep things I don’t use or have only used once. Too much clutter takes over your life.
